Alison Bowen (WJI alum 06) is interning this summer for The New York Times working on The Local, a blog in Brooklyn considered “hyperlocal web journalism.”

Kate Harrison (WJI alum 09) has a summer internship with the Asheville (N.C.) Citizen-Times as a "backpack journalist." Harrison said her role is “to go on the field with reporters and help them gather footage for their website: video, photo, quotes—a little bit of everything—and send it back to the office.”

Sonya McNair (WJI speaker 08) has been named Vice President, Communications, for CBS News, where she will oversee the daily communications strategy for a wide range of CBS News broadcasts.

Susan Moeller (WJI speaker 08) reports for The Leader (N.J.) and will be honored by the New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists at a banquet next week. She won 2nd Place for Investigative Reporting and was part of the team that won 3rd Place for Series Writing and Reporting.
