Adam Belz (WJI 03) has been named Outstanding Young Journalists of the Year by the Iowa Newspaper Association. Belz is a reporter at The Gazette in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Read article here.

Emily Killian (WJI 03) won third place for headline writing in the North Carolina Press Association journalism contest for 2008. Killian is Design and Lifestyles Editor at The Shelby (N.C.) Star.

Joseph Loconte (WJI speaker 06) has been appointed Senior Research Fellow at The King's College, New York City, for the spring term. Loconte is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., where he examines the role of religious belief in strengthening democracy, advancing human rights, and reforming civil society. He helps direct EPPC's program on Evangelicals in Civic Life.
