Paige Winfield Cunningham (06) participated in the 2011 Berlin Capitol Program, held by the Fulbright Commission. She was awarded a fully-funded grant to accompany 14 other young American journalists to visit media and government institutions in Berlin and Hamburg. Rachel Held Evans (01) is scheduled to speak at the Writer’s Symposium by the Sea, at Point Loma Nazarene University, February 27, 2012. Evans is a blogger and author of Evolving in Monkey Town: How a Girl Who Knew All the Answers Learned to Ask the Questions (Zondervan, 2010). She is a graduate of Bryan College. Matt Laslo (05) is a freelance reporter based on Capitol Hill, who covers Congress, the White House and the Supreme Court, filing stories for more than 40 local NPR stations, as well as writing stories published in The Atlantic, The Chattanooga Times Free Press, National Public Radio, The Omaha World-Herald, Pacifica Radio, Politics Magazine, and Washingtonian Magazine.
