Paul Chesser (99) is Associate Fellow with National Legal & Policy Center doing investigative reporting, much of it on the Department of Energy loan and grant programs for renewable energy and electric cars, which has led to several appearances on Fox Business Network to discuss those stories. Christian Gonzalez (‘00) is the Marketing & Communications Project Manager for Exodus Cry: A Prayer Movement to End Slavery. Their documentaryNefarious: Merchant of Souls, is being screened around the U.S. and the world, and will be released as a DVD on May 1. Stephen Kloosterman (‘04) earned an award in the 2011 Michigan Associated Press Editorial Association competition: 2nd Place for digital presence, for his combination of print and online news coverage as a business writer for the Holland (Mich.) Sentinel. TheSentinel honors came in Division II, newspapers of 15,000-50,000 circulation from across Michigan. Kloosterman is a graduate of Dordt College and can be reached at stvklstr@msn.com.
Christine Won (‘06) was awarded first place for the 2012 Open Records/Freedom of Information Award by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association in February. Won is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and can be reached atWon.J.Christine@gmail.com.
