WJI Buzz - Bailey, Borgelt, Duin, Moon

Sarah Pulliam Bailey (‘00) is the new managing editor of Odyssey Networks in New York City. Odyssey is the leading the multimedia outlet's editorial direction for covering religion. She was formerly online editor for Christianity Today. Bailey is a graduate of Wheaton College. She is looking to hire an online editor in New York City. Susanna Borgelt ('04) is currently a freelance journalist and writer working from Kagoshima, Japan. She has a personal interest blog at http://lovinghappyeverafter.blogspot.com. She is a graduate of Harding University.

Julia Duin (frequent guest teacher) won multiple awards in 2012 from the Religion Newswriters Association, including Religion Reporter of the Year and second place for Supple Religion Feature Writer of the Year and Magazine News Religion Report of the Year, all three for her work done at The Washington Post Magazine. Duin is now associate professor at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.

Ruth Moon ('08) won Magazine News Religion Report of the Year from the Religion Newswriters Association for a story on Niger she reported forChristianity Today as a WJI-funded student fellow of the 2010 Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. Moon is a reporter for the Rapid City (S.D.) Journal and a graduate of Wheaton College. She was selected to attend the 2012 World Journalism Institute Top Grad Conference.
