WJI 2018 Blog Day 4, AM: Canadians and Snack Skills

May 21, 2018

Anna Bailey

Dordt college is empty and peaceful for the summer, but in one classroom, our work is just beginning. This morning, we discussed the basics of newspaper writing with Russ Pulliam. We practiced editing and writing short news articles.

We were a little worried that Professor Pitts might provide strictly healthy brain food, but it turns out that he has great snack-buying talents.

As a Canadian student, I’m a little disappointed that the weather here is cold and rainy. My fellow students have been slow with the Canada jokes, but I’ve heard many in the past and have come to expect warm weather as a reward!

We’re about to head to lunch, and this afternoon we’ll get a break from lectures to interview and write profiles about one another.
