David Skeel, World Journalism Institute board member, is S. Samuel Arsht Professor of Corporate Law at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, and a leading authority on today's financial crises facing the United States. His recent writings in the Weekly Standard (11/29/10), the Wall Street Journal (1/18/11) and his book, The New Financial Deal: Understanding the Dodd-Frank Act, have thrust Mr. Skeel into the forefront of the national conversation on resolving the states' financial debt by allowing the states to declare bankruptcy. We congratulate Mr. Skeel and are proud to have him on our board of directors.
