S.E. Cupp has joined the Glenn Beck and Mercury Radio Team, where she is writing and producing full-time for GlennBeck.com. Cupp, who has been a guest speaker at WJI ('10), is a political commentator, author and columnist. Andrew Ferguson, senior editor at Weekly Standard and frequent WJI speaker ('10-11) has just published his latest book Crazy U, which tells the hilarious story of his struggles getting his son through the college admissions process. Washington Post reviewed it by stating, “It may seem strange to say that a book so full of heartache is a pleasure to read, but Ferguson's storytelling is irresistible.” Andy will be with our alumni again in the fall at their annual conference in Washington, D.C.

Amy Vercher ('06) has been promoted from editor to marketing coordinator/web editor at National Write Your Congressman, Inc., which seeks “to provide Americans with a platform to effectively state their views and concerns to their representatives in Congress.” Amy is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and can be reached at amy.vercher@gmail.com.

John Wagner ('07) is a Staff News Assistant at NY1, a twenty-four hour cable news channel covering the five boroughs of New York City. In addition to completing WJI's New York course in 2007, Wagner was a member of the WJI student journalism team that produced the Urbana Today newspaper in 2006.
