Anacleto Rapping has worked as a professional photojournalist in the newspaper business for 25 years. Over the past two years Anacleto has taught photojournalism classes at Brooks Institute of Photography and has helped launch three new feature sections (Sunday Calendar, Home and Outdoors ) at the Los Angeles Times. He worked for the Los Angeles Times for the past 18 years. He previously worked for the Hartford Courant in Connecticut and the Thousand Oaks News Chronicle in California. His newspaper assignments have taken him to South Africa, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Singapore, Guatemala, Mexico, Canada, and 35 states in the U.S. He has photographed four Summer Olympic Games, one Winter Olympics, three World Cup Soccer tournaments and more football, baseball, and basketball games than he can remember. His photographs have appeared in many national and international newspapers and magazines. Anacleto and his wife, Terrie, have been married for 22 years. They have 2 children, Matthew (20 years old) and Ariel (17 years old).
